It is a north-south highway with a length of 85 miles (137 km). The southern terminus of Iowa Highway 150 is at an intersection with U.S. Route 218 in Vinton. Its northern terminus is in Calmar at an intersection with U.S. Route 52 and Iowa Highway 24.Prior to 1984, the southern terminus was in Cedar Rapids.Iowa Highway 150 begins at Vinton at an intersection with US 218. It goes north and east towards Urbana, then turns north to intersect Interstate 380 and Iowa Highway 27 near Urbana. It continues north and at Independence, interesects U.S. Route 20.
