During a visit to the Prado Museum, Vega, a university professor, is mesmerized by a suggestive 18th-century portrait. The face of the man painted there shakes her to the core: she has seen it before… although she cannot remember where. An uncontrollable attraction leads her to embark on a journey to a unique village in the south of France in search of answers, where an elderly countess opens the doors of her mansion and also reveals a transcendent millennial secret. Three exciting stories–the crusade against the Cathars in the 13th century, a forbidden passion in pre-revolutionary France, and an unsolved mystery in Rennes-le-Château–intertwine across the centuries to reveal a powerful mystery for humanity that has survived fire, war… and death. It seems that some souls are doomed–or destined–to meet again to rewrite history and finally uncover the fascinating and revealing enigmas that lie beneath the rubble of time. Who are the Children of Juan… and why are they destined to change the world? \
