What happens when an American family moves into a haunted English castle—and refuses to be frightened? The Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde is a charming blend of satire, ghost story, and social comedy. When the Otis family moves into Canterville Chase, they find the resident ghost more annoying than terrifying. But behind Sir Simon’s spooky antics lies a moving tale of guilt, forgiveness, and spiritual redemption. Both humorous and heartfelt, this short story is ideal for readers who enjoy a smart twist on the supernatural—and Wilde’s signature wit. \
